Armand L. Bertrand passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022, four days short of his 91st birthday. Born in Schenectady NY, February 15, 1931, to Armand J and Delia (Belrose) Bertrand. Bert was a community person and served in various positions throughout his life. Bert was quite the handyman as he was very mechanically inclined. He’ll be best remembered for his very sharp memory and wit. His own words upon being a “smartass”, because he went to Donkey School. Predeceased by his wife Jean M (Southard). His sister Jeannette and stepson, James Gonia. Bert is survived by his sister Ruth, Step Daughter Jeanine Popalis. Daughters, Deborah McCauliffe, Diana (Brian) Cross, Sons, David (Lynn), Robert (Carol), Roger (Carole), Daniel (Tammy). 15 Grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family requests a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to Sararogacountyanimalshelter.com.
