Eddye W. Jones

Saratoga Springs, NY Eddye Jones passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 23, 2022. Born in Chattanooga Tennessee to William and Anna Coldwell Jones on June 6, 1927, Eddye was 94. Eddye was a proud Saratogian, who loved to give of herself in many different ways. She enjoyed her time as a Nurse Aid working in private residences and for the state. In her later years, she could be seen siting on her porch, eager to talk to anyone who walked by. Helping others was in Eddye’s blood. She was quick to lend a hand in helping with the homeless community, and gave a lot of time doing good at the Franklin Community Center in Saratoga Springs. When Eddye needed a helping hand, her trusted caregiver and great grandson, Albert Daggs was there. Eddye was predeceased by her husband, Henry Williams, and her only daughter, Henrietta Williams. She is survived by her sons, Fredrick Williams and Vondell Williams, grandchildren; Miakoda Schultz, Albert Daggs, Tanesha Daggs, Henry Williams, Herbert Suggs, and a few great-great grandchildren, and many friends. She will be missed by all the lives she touched. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Dyer-Phelps AME Zion Church 122 Crescent St, Saratoga Springs, NY, on June 1, from 10-11am. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the church. Burial next to her mother, Anna at Greenridge Cemetery will follow the church service.
