Jane S. Ginley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Saratoga Springs, NY Jane S. Ginley passed away on December 9, 2020, in Saratoga Springs, NY at the age of 86. She was born in Syracuse, NY and attended Sacred Heart School, St. John’s Academy, and graduated from LeMoyne College in 1955. She received a graduate degree in Education from Syracuse University in 1958 and taught second grade in the Skaneateles School District. Jane was married to John J. Ginley Jr. on December 26, 1959. The couple made their home in Skaneateles, NY for 43 years before relocating to Saratoga Springs in 2003. Jane enjoyed entertaining at their home on Skaneateles Lake. She also enjoyed being a member of various book clubs, bridge groups and as a member of the Skaneateles Country Club, played the occasional round of golf. Jane was an avid sports fan, and was always on the sidelines of various fields or the blue line at hockey rinks, cheering on her children and then grandchildren. The family was also ski enthusiasts with a home on Stratton Mountain, VT, and spent many fun weekends on the slopes with friends and family. Jane is survived by her husband, Jack, of 60 years; her children Ann Bundschuh (Jack) of Trumbull, CT; John III of Atlanta, GA: Michael (Jennifer) of Saratoga Springs; and 10 grandchildren residing from New York to California. Jane was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Hinds. There are no services planned for the immediate future. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Skaneateles, NY at a later date.
