Saratoga Springs, NY Mary Lou Smith 83, passed away peacefully with loving care at Gateway House of peace in Ballston Spa, NY on April 2, 2022. Mary Lou was born April 3, 1938, daughter of Luther A. & Mary E. (Tougas) Smith. Mary Lou is survived by two sisters - Claire J. Hannah of Ballston Spa, NY, - Irene M. White, Gales Ferry, CT & Brother - George A. Smith, Virginia Beach, VA. Plus many nieces & nephews, many great nieces & nephews & one great-great niece. She was loved very much by the whole Family. She worked at a local motel for many years in housekeeping & retired from there. A special thank you to Dr. Taneja Sanjay and his office for their special care they gave to Mary Lou for many years. For the past eleven years Mary Lou lived alone, but was always a bright shining light with her bright blue eyes to those who were happy to be a part of her life. Mary Lou endeared herself to so many of her neighbors, the postman, the garbage man & special friends. Special thanks to the Saratoga County Office for the Aging Home Delivery Meal Program volunteers. Mary Lou was very fond of Billie Jo McConkey, Darby (Dorothy) Knizek - Neahr, Patrick Harrington and most of all her Special Friend - Judy Dahoda - Taylor.
