Saratoga Springs, NY Ruth Shirley Niemitalo passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022. Born on October 26, 1930, in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of John and Leah Waterbury Stewart. Ruth was 91. Ruth was very proud to be a homemaker, a notable profession. She also worked for Mark Mullholland in the Pink Store Deli formerly on Clinton Street. She loved to help raise her grandchildren. In her free time, Ruth loved to watch Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune. She really loved to relax with a good book and play Crosswords and Wordsearches. Ruth is predeceased by her beloved son, Eric J. Niemitalo. She is survived by her 3 children: Linda (Larry) Fox of Saratoga Springs, NY, Robert (Ellen) Niemitalo of Port Townsend, Washington, Glenn (Kathy) Niemitalo of Castleton, NY, her grandchildren; Susan & Jimmy Fox, Kimberly Niemitalo Spach (Adam), Michelle Niemitalo Auslander (Adam), Lee Niemitalo (Sarah), Sharon Niemitalo, Danielle Niemitalo Kozaczuk (Tom) and Trisha Niemitalo Vecchione (Keith). Ruth will be laid to rest in St. Peter's Cemetery in Saratoga Springs, next to her son, Eric J. Niemitalo. Services will be private. For online condolences please visit, www.tunisonfuneralhome.com.
